Ton of Noise - Realm of Excursion

Then there was a bunch of noise like alternator whine coming through the speakers. I then pulled over and turn off the car out of fear of ruining my speakers or blowing something up. And I THINK I saw the power led for the bass knob off. ... Its louder and harsher sounding. It was working fine then in under a second it all goes to hell.
